Accepted at hazardous waste collection sites - eligible businesses only
This includes compact fluorescent (CFL) bulbs, neon lights, ultraviolet lamps, and even Green Fluorescent bulbs and tubes. Broken bulbs? Put broken bulbs in a plastic bag or closed container and dispose of as hazardous waste.
Up to ten fluorescent lights can also be taken to an authorized LightRecycle Washington collection site. Find a Light Recycle Washington location near you.

Your business may be eligible to receive no-fee hazardous waste disposal up to four times a year if you are a Small Quantity Generator (SQG).
This program is for King County businesses that generate less than 220 lbs of hazardous waste monthly and less than 2.2 lbs of certain Extremely Hazardous Wastes, and are Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity of Generators under Washington State Department of Ecology Dangerous Waste Regulations (WAC 173-303).
